Dorela Sinani - Principal Lawyer
Dorela Sinani is the founder and principal lawyer of Sinani Law. She holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
Prior to co-founding Sinani Law, Dorela practised immigration law at one of Calgary’s largest immigration law firms, gaining extensive experience representing both individual and corporate clients across the full spectrum of Canadian immigration matters.
Dorela’s specialized skill set includes helping clients with complex and difficult cases, including:
- Refugee Claims and Pre-Removal Risk Assessments (PRRA)
- Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) Applications

She regularly represents clients in hearings before the Federal Court and all Divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB).
Dorela’s commitment to immigration law is also personal. Having witnessed her parents sacrifice everything to build a better life in Canada, she understands the struggles, frustrations, and emotional weight of the immigration process firsthand. That lived experience shapes how she approaches every case—with persistence, compassion, and a determination to get clients the best possible outcome.

We carry $1,000,000 per-claim professional liability coverage through the Alberta Lawyers Indemnity Association (ALIA), the mandatory insurance program for all practising lawyers in Alberta. Our current policy period runs through to May 2027, ensuring full financial protection for our clients.

Operations Manager
Ludy is the co-founder of Sinani Law and manages the operations and growth of the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Administration from the University of Windsor.
Earlier in his career, Ludy worked in corporate environments as a Forex Trader, Branch Manager, and Cost Control Advisor for a major Canadian oil and gas company. He transitioned to private consulting before co-founding Sinani Law with the vision of creating a firm that provides high-quality legal services in Calgary—one that changes lives by taking a genuine interest in clients, understanding their objectives, and exceeding their expectations.
Ludy takes pride in managing a firm with the ability to represent clients from diverse ethnic communities. He is fluent in English, Turkish, Macedonian, Bosnian, and Serbian.
