Principal Lawyer
Dorela has extensive experience in complex immigration cases. Dorela holds a Juris Doctor degree from Thompson Rivers University Law School and a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
Prior to co-founding Sinani Law, Dorela practiced immigration law with one of Calgary’s largest immigration law firms. Dorela has experiencing helping both individuals and corporate clients with their immigration matters.
Dorela’s specialized skill set includes helping clients with difficult cases such as Refugee Claims, Pre-Removal Risk Assessments, Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications, initial and previously refused Temporary Resident Visas, Study Permits, LMIA and LMIA exempt work permits, Express Entry Applications, Spousal Sponsorship applications and Appeals, Criminal and Medical Inadmissibility and Misrepresentation matters. She often represents clients with hearings before the Federal Court and all Divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Having witnessed her parents sacrifice everything in hopes of building a better future in Canada as a child, Dorela is aware of the struggles and frustrations that come with settling down in Canada. She aims to ensure that her clients are well-positioned to make informed decisions. She zealously helps her clients achieve their immigration goals, no matter the complications. Dorela is a fluent in English and Albanian.
Operations Manager
Ludy is the co-founder of Sinani Law and he manages the operations and growth of the firm. Ludy holds a Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in Business Administration from the University of Windsor. Earlier in his career Ludy worked in various corporate environments as a Forex Trader, Branch Manager and Cost Control Advisor for a large Canadian Oil and Gas company. Ludy transitioned to private consulting before starting Sinani Law. The vision was to create a firm providing high quality legal services in Calgary that changes lives by taking a genuine interest in clients, understand their objectives and exceeding their expectations. Ludy takes pride in managing a firm with the ability to represent clients of various ethnic communities. He is fluent in English, Turkish, Macedonian, Bosnian and Serbian.
